FIELD: microfluidics.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microfluidics and can be used for creation of flow in a liquid drop and mixing of fluids in small volumes. Proposed method consists in the following: a drop of liquid to be processed for flow creation is placed on horizontally located thin elastic plate with free edges, in which bending oscillations are excited with frequency of free vibrations in the range of sound and ultrasonic frequencies by means of piezoelectric transducer. Under the effect of distributed oscillations over the plate this drop moves to a plate section with bending oscillations antinode. With increase of amplitude a flow occurs in the drop directed in the lower layer of drop towards the centre of bending oscillations antinode. Flow in drop occurs due to pressure gradient created in drop by distributed oscillations of plate surface, which amplitude in the centre of antinode is maximal one.EFFECT: simplified and increased efficiency of procedure creating a flow in liquid drop.1 cl, 2 dwg |
