In an actuating mechanism, a driving screw, sliding nut and guide link are axially aligned, and the axis determines an axial direction and an opposite axial direction. The driving screw and sliding nut are coupled so as to provide a screw motion of the driving screw in relation to the sliding nut in at least the axial direction. The driving screw is connected to the guide link to generate a screw motion of the driving screw in relation to the guide link when the guide link translates in the axial direction in relation to the driving screw.
