FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: absorbent product contains fluid-shrinkable elements, an upper sheet and liner carrier, which comprises a membrane and absorbent inner part provided between the upper sheet and the membrane. The fluid-shrinkable elements arranged in the longitudinal direction of the product so that at least some elements are close to an end of the upper sheet. At least a portion of the upper sheet remains substantially detached from the membrane. When the fluid-shrinkable elements shrink and contact a fluid discharged, the end of the upper sheet can lift above the surface of the absorbent product. The lifted area creates a barrier locking a fluid motion from the product centre towards its ends. In some embodiments of the invention, the shrinking of the fluid-shrinkable elements also raises an outer area of the upper sheet in relation to the surface of the absorbent product, thereby forming the barrier locking the fluid motion from the product centre towards its side edges.EFFECT: absorbent product prevents leakage outflow and provides a high level of leakage protection.28 cl, 19 dwg |
