摘要 FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: three-phase electric arc plasmatron comprises three arch chambers, each including cooled electrode, confuser, main and additional units of gas supply with tangential nozzles, the electrodes are connected to three different phases of AC network. On each cooled electrode electromagnetic coil is installed in the form of a solenoid. Arc chambers are tightly connected with common mixing chamber equipped with outlet nozzle, which central longitudinal axis is perpendicular to central longitudinal axes of arc chambers. Main and additional gas supply assemblies are made of metal. In each arc chamber the main unit of gas supply is connected with cooled electrode through an insulator, on the side of the main unit of gas supply facing inside the arc chamber there is a projection, wherein the distance between projection and end of electrode enables phase voltage of mains during plasmatron switching on sufficient for gas breakdown inside the arc chamber. Also a method of starting three-phase electric arc plasmatron is suggested, which envisages cooling switching on and gas supply into arc chamber, phase voltage and arc discharge enabling. Note here that after cooling enabling the arc chambers of plasmatron are supplied with preliminary gas flow when supplied phase voltage is sufficient for gas breakdown between projection of the main unit of gas supply and the end of electrode. After ignition of arc discharges the nominal gas flow is supplied to arc chambers.EFFECT: higher reliability of plasmatron operation.7 cl, 1 dwg
