PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of being improved in brightness.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device including a first color pixel region PX(R), a second color pixel region PX(G), and a third color pixel region PX(B) comprises: a first substrate and a second substrate facing each other; a first color filter 230R positioned in the first color pixel region PX(R) on the first substrate or the second substrate; a second color filter 230G positioned in the second color pixel region PX(G) on the first substrate or the second substrate; a third color filter 230B positioned in the third color pixel region PX(B) on the first substrate or the second substrate; and a liquid crystal layer positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first color pixel region PX(R) includes a first region E(R) where the first color filter 230R is not positioned, and the ratio of the first region E(R) to the first color pixel area PX(R) is 1/1000 or greater and 1/2 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
