A communication apparatus (100), which is included in a multi-hop network, comprises: a communication unit (102) that communicates with upper and lower apparatuses in the multi-hop network; a delivery notification reception unit (104) that receives from the upper apparatus a delivery notification of a program; a program reception unit (106) that receives the program from the upper apparatus after the reception of the delivery notification; a program introduction unit (108) that installs the received program into the local apparatus; and a notification unit (110) that transmits the delivery notification to the lower apparatus after completion of the installation of the program.
