Within the context of four-stroke rotary internal-combustion engines, the invention relates to an engine of the scissoring effect type. The engine comprises a rotor having a shaft to which the combustion chambers are attached, and pairs of rotating lobes which are independent, but which are firmly attached to said rotor by their shafts and are axially displaced, such that, when rotating, they perform a scissoring movement, confined within a casing, having volumetric spaces, in order to allow expansion and compression, as well as expansion and expulsion, while also comprising retaining elements for controlling whether the rotating lobes open or not. |
