The invention relates to a vehicle seat (F) comprising at least one first and one second adjustment part (L, S; T1, T2) as well as a latching device, in which - the first adjustment part (L; T1) can be adjusted and locked relative to the second adjustment part (S; T2) in a first and a second adjustment region (V1, V2), and - said latching device switches automatically from a release position into a latching position when said first adjustment part (L; T1) is adjusted from the second adjustment region (V2) into the first adjustment region (V1), in order to lock the first adjustment part (L; T1) in an adjustment position in said first adjustment region (V1). According to the invention, a control device (3) that interacts with said latching device is provided which - holds the latching device in a release position when the first adjustment part (L; T1) is adjusted from the second adjustment region (V2) into the first adjustment region (V1) and until said first adjustment part (L; T1) has been adjusted beyond at least a first of the possible adjustment positions of the first adjustment region (V1), and – only allows a switch into a latching position once the first adjustment part (L; T1) reaches a specific subsequent adjustment position in the first adjustment region (V1) that is predefined as a reference position (P), for a typical seat user, within said first adjustment region (V1). |
