发明名称 Masons / bricklayers Profile Pole Topper
摘要 Innovation background A profile brace is designed to support and stabilise a Masons/bricklayers profile pole in a perfectly plumb position at all 360'. These poles are used to ensure perfect vertical and horizontal positioning of materials used in the construction of a structure such as a building or wall. Current brace systems use two telescopic braces set at right angles to each other due to the limitations imposed on them by the square tubular shape of the profile pole and the locating hook system at the top of the brace being formed from flat, metal bar 15mm to 25mm in width. This means each brace must be hooked over one of the four flat sides at the top of the square profile pole.(see FIGURE 1) This is not always convenient. With modern narrow lot home designs, space at those angles is not always available. Also on two story structures there is often no platform on which to rest the base of the profile brace on the external side of the construction. There can also be space limitations on both lower and upper levels of a structure due to congestion caused by construction materials used for the structure, such as bricks or concrete and limestone blocks, the positioning of other equipment required by the tradesman such as mortar boards. Or even the position of already constructed walls. In the past some tradesmen have gone to the trouble of welding a round metal rod to the top of a profile pole and using specially modified profile braces with a hole to fit over the rod so they can be rotated outside the 90' position afforded by standard systems. This isn't efficient as profile poles have a life span due to damage or bending then a new rod must be welded into a new profile pole at a cost.
