PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective element which can maintain fusion characteristics even when a heating element extraction electrode is omitted, while achieving compaction and high standardization.SOLUTION: A protective element has an insulating substrate 10 provided with first and second electrodes 11, 12, a first fusible conductor 13 supported by the first and second electrodes 11, 12, and short-circuiting them, and a heating element 14 provided between the first and second electrodes 11, 12, and generating heat by energization to blow out the first fusible conductor 13. The first fusible conductor 13 is superposed on the heating element 14 in a region 15 between the first and second electrodes 11, 12. Wettability of molten conductor is enhanced, because at least one surface of a low melting point metal 13a is coated with a high melting point metal 13b having a melting point higher than that of the low melting point metal 13a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
