The invention relates to a modular computer system (1) comprising a chassis (2) with a plurality of receiving bays (7) for receiving corresponding function modules (13), in particular server modules (22). The modular computer system (1) comprises at least one cooling device (12) arranged in the interior of the chassis (2) and configured for mutual cooling of function modules (13) arranged in a first receiving bay (7a) and in a second receiving bay (7b), and at least one control device arranged in the chassis (2) for controlling the cooling device (12). The control device is thereby connected at least to a first connection (18) of a first receiving bay (7a) and a second connection (18) of a second receiving bay (7b) and is additionally configured to receive at least one first control value for controlling the cooling device (12) via the first connection (18) and to receive at least one second control value for controlling the cooling device (12) via the second connection (18). From the at least one first and at least one second control value received, the control value is selected which corresponds to a higher cooling output and is used for controlling the cooling device (12). The invention further relates to a server module (22) for use in a modular computer system (1). |
