PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-density magnetic recorder which achieves high accuracy with a simple structure, realizes a highly reliable pivot bearing device at low costs, and thereby achieves high reliability.SOLUTION: A pivot bearing device 13 includes: rolling ball bearings 20, each of which is disposed in an axial direction relative to a shaft 21 and includes an inner ring 27 fixed to the shaft 21; sleeves to which outer rings 25 are respectively fixed; and a tolerance ring 12 which presses outer peripheral surfaces of the outer rings 25 through the sleeves. The outer ring 25 is fixed to a fixing hole 18 of an arm 16 through the tolerance ring 12 and the sleeve and the pivot bearing device 13 swings around the shaft. The number of balls of the ball bearing 20 is the same as the number of mountains of the tolerance ring 12 which press the outer ring 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
