PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding device of a simple structure for a wedge binding-type scaffold.SOLUTION: A binding device for a wedge binding-type scaffold comprises a receiving metal fitting for a support post, and an engaging metal fitting at an end of a wooden tubular bracket, the receiving metal fitting being U-shaped when seen in a planar view. The engaging metal fitting includes a wedge and a wedge guiding member. The wedge has a wedge positioning member fastened close to a lower part of a wedge body, pinching a lower edge of a plate spring for pushing the wedge forward, the wedge body being of a long plate-form having a forward horizontal protrusion at an upper edge and curved rearward. The wedge guiding member has a vertical wall on which a peripheral part is formed that protrudes rearward, an upper part of which is fixed on an outer periphery of the bracket, below which a downward stepped part that hooks on a central wall of the receiving metal fitting is formed. A remaining part below the stepped part serves as a metal fitting penetration part, into which the wedge is fitted through a notch formed on upper and lower edges in front part of the tubular bracket, except for the forward horizontal protrusion on the upper edge, bringing the positioning member in contact with the central wall of the receiving metal fitting, at the same time bringing the wedge body in contact with the vertical wall, and the lower edge protruding below the receiving metal fitting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
