1. A powered cutting apparatus, said apparatus comprising a base having a surface onto which a work piece to be cut can be placed, first and second spaced parallel slide members, a fence having a surface for location of the work piece therewith and a cutting unit, said cutting unit including a rotatable blade, a guard for the same, and drive means for rotating said blade when switched on, said cutting unit mounted on, and to one side of, the slide members such that the blade is spaced to one side of the same along a plane substantially parallel with the said surface of the base; wherein the base includes first guide means provided for location of the said fence via first and second pins provided on the fence such that the said fence surface is positioned in a plane substantially parallel with the longitudinal axis of said slides, and at least second guide means are provided with which said fence is located via one of said pins, with the other of the pins at least partially retracted so as to allow the position of said fence to be angularly adjustable by the user. |
