Provided is an electric brake device that is capable of reducing the number of harnesses and that provides increased durability and reliability of an energization path to the electric brake device. The electric brake device is provided with a brake rotor (4), a brake lining (5), an electric motor (6), a transmission mechanism (7), a power supply device (2), and a brake control device (3). The power supply device (2) is a variable power supply device capable of superposing a variation component on output, and includes a command superposition means (9) for varying the variation component in accordance with a target brake force instructed from a brake force instruction means (10). The brake control device (3) includes a target brake force extraction means (17) for extracting the variation component in the output of the power supply device (2) as the target brake force, and an instruction corresponding electric power control means (18) for controlling the electric power fed to the motor (6) in accordance with the extracted target brake force. |
