Disclosed are a handheld terminal-based intelligent input system and method for code design, the system comprising a monitoring and responding sub-system, a key word storage and index sub-system and a key word search sub-system. The method comprises: when a user inputs code, the system tracks and learns a user input behavior, and generates a high-frequency word bank for the user according to the frequency of each word group used by the user; when the user partially types content, the system performs matching according to the currently typed content, retrieves the key words matched in the word bank that the user is most likely to be currently typing, ranks the key words according to the utilization frequency thereof, and returns the ranked related key words to the monitoring and responding sub-system for the user to select and use, thus enabling the code-writing of the handheld terminal to be more intelligent. |
