PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystalline compound satisfying at least one of properties such as high stability to light, a highly transparent point, a lower limit temperature of a liquid crystal phase, a low viscosity, proper optical anisotropy, large dielectric anisotropy, a proper elastic constant, excellent compatibility with another liquid crystalline compound, and a large dielectric constant in the minor axis direction.SOLUTION: There is provided a liquid crystalline compound represented by 2,3-difluoro-4-(3,4,5-trifluoro phenethyl)-1-(4-propyl phenyl)benzene, 2,3-difluoro-4-(4'-propyl phenyl)phenyl-3,4,5-trifluorobenzyl ether or the like.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
