摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device and an imaging method that can achieve pickup images having no flicker component.SOLUTION: An imaging device has an imaging element 12 that can perform imaging of two kinds of long and short exposure times, frame memories 15a to 15c for storing video signals output from the imaging element, and a signal processor 16 for adding the video signals stored in the frame memories 15a to 15c. A sub frame LF based on a long-time exposure of a current frame, a sub frame SF based on short-time exposure of the current frame and a sub frame SF based on short-time exposure of a frame just before the current frame are added with one another to construct a pseudo extension frame having one period of a flicker frequency fof illumination light as a frame period (10 milli-seconds). The frame frequency fof the imaging device is constructed to be equal to a value between the flicker frequencies fand 2fof the illumination light, and one frame is constructed to be divided into the long-time exposure time (6.66 milli-seconds) and the short-time exposure time (1.66 milli-second).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
