PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a resin gear housing capable of suppressing occurrence of weld in an output support shaft portion.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a resin gear housing which has a wheel housing portion 11c that has a worm wheel portion 13a and an output portion 13b extending cylindrically from a shaft center of the worm wheel portion 13a, houses the worm wheel portion 13a of a wheel member 13 and has a substantially-bottomed cylindrical shape; a wheel support portion 11e which is erected from an inner edge of a central hole formed in the bottom of the wheel housing portion 11c, supports an inner peripheral surface of the worm wheel portion 13a, and has a cylindrical shape; and an output support shaft portion 11f which extends from a tip of the wheel support portion 11e so that a diameter is reduced, supports an inner peripheral surface of the output portion 13b, and has a cylindrical shape, the method includes: injecting an injection step of injecting a molten resin from two gates 23 and 24 provided in a mold, and thereby converging the molten resin at a position corresponding to the wheel support portion 11e and then flowing the converged molten resin to a position corresponding to the output support shaft portion 11f.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
