The invention relates to a method for measuring a load on a rotor blade (104) of a wind power plant (100), wherein the method comprises a step of deriving a deflection (112) of the rotor blade (104) from an acceleration value (114), a step of determining a signal drift component (120) of the deflection (112) by using an absolute value (122), and a step of determining the load by using the signal drift component (120) and the deflection (112) and material characteristics of the rotor blade (104).
