Disclosed are a resource allocation method and device. The method comprises the following steps: determining a first downlink sub-frame set, the first downlink sub-frame set being associated to a first uplink sub-frame in both a first uplink and downlink ratio and a second uplink and downlink ratio; determining first PUCCH resource region on a first uplink sub-frame according to an HARQ timing of the first uplink and downlink ratio, the first PUCCH resource region being a resource region reserved for HARQ feedback information of the first downlink sub-frame set. In the above solution, downlink sub-frames in a first downlink sub-frame set in a new-version UE all use an element quantity and serial numbers during the first uplink and downlink ratio, so as to be allocated to the same first PUCCH resource region, thereby implementing allocation of a PUCCH resource region for a new-version UE in a system compatible with two kinds of UEs. |
