This humidification device (nebulizer) is configured to be provided with: a liquid receiving portion that temporarily stores a liquid; a liquid transfer mechanism that transfers the liquid from a container to the liquid receiving portion; a receiving portion-side aerosol formation member that, using negative pressure caused by gas that is injected from a gas injection portion of a nozzle member, suctions in the liquid in the liquid receiving portion from a liquid suction port, and turns said liquid into an aerosol by means of a receiving portion-side aerosol generation nozzle; and a heating mechanism that heats at least a portion of the liquid in the liquid receiving portion or the liquid in the receiving portion-side aerosol formation member. This makes it possible to provide a humidification device with which heating can be carried out efficiently and hygienically using a heater when carrying out humidification. |
