The present invention addresses the problem of providing a transplanting machine which alternatively executes planting start control for starting planting work using a planting work machine, and planting position control for controlling a planting start position in order to form a headland with a constant width by the planting work machine starting the planting work after having reached a preset headland width from a ridge edge, and which enables an operation tool for executing the planting position control to be provided inexpensively. The present invention is provided with a planting work machine 6, a planting clutch, a travel distance detection means 66 for detecting a travel distance, and a control unit 50 for executing work machine operation control for controlling the up-and-down motion and on/off of driving of the planting work machine 6. The control unit 50 selectively executes planting start control for starting planting driving of the planting work machine 6, and planting position control for starting planting work after a travel distance from a ridge edge has reached a preset headland width, on the basis of distinguishable different operation commands from a work machine operation tool 18 for performing the up-and-down operation of the planting work machine 6 and the engagement/disengagement operation of the planting clutch. |
