PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handheld instrument and a mobile device for X-ray fluorescence analysis.SOLUTION: The handheld instrument for X-ray fluorescence analysis has: a housing and a handle; an X-ray fluorescence measurement device arranged in the housing and including a radiation source; a detector arranged in the housing and detecting secondary radiation emitted by the measurement surface 38 of a measurement object 39; and a data processing device which is arranged in the housing and controls a display provided on the housing or connected to the housing. An outlet window is provided on a front-side end of a first housing section of the housing, a positioning element is provided on the first housing section to which the outlet window is allocated, and a support element is provided on a further housing section of the housing at a certain distance to the outlet window on the first housing section, the handheld instrument is aligned with respect to the measurement surface 38 after being positioned on the measurement surface 38 of the measurement object 39 by the positioning element and the support element, and the handheld instrument is autonomously positioned with respect to the measurement surface 38 in a measurement position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
