PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment system capable of preventing explosion even with filtration of water to be treated, which may generate inflammable gas.SOLUTION: One aspect of the invention is a water treatment system equipped with a tank for water to be treated for pooling water to be treated, a cross-flow type filter membrane module for filtering the water to be treated, a supply passage for supplying the water to be treated from the tank for water to be treated to the filter membrane module by using a supply pump, a reflux passage for returning the water to be treated from the filter membrane module to the tank for water to be treated, where the supply passage has an aspirator for mixing air with the supplied water to be treated and the reflux passage returns the air with the water to be treated to the tank for water to be treated. The tank for water to be treated has an upper space where an inert gas is air-tightly filled on a liquid surface of pooled water to be treated and is further equipped with an aeration passage for supplying the inert gas to the aspirator from the upper space. A ratio of volume of the upper space to the total content volume of the tank for water to be treated is preferably 1/4 or more and 2/3 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
