PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a reduction amount of an electrolytic solution in a battery having a sealed type enclosure by a simple structure.SOLUTION: A battery system 20 comprises: a battery cell 140 having a sealed type case 71 in which an electrode body 77 and an electrolytic solution are enclosed together; a strain gauge 24 for detecting a strain X of the case 71 owing to the rise in pressure in the case 71; and ECU 300. The ECU 300 calculates a reduction amount R of the electrolytic solution from a detection value of the strain X measured by the strain gauge 24 based on the relation between the strain X of the case 71 and the reduction amount R from the case 71 to the outside.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
