PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing capable of achieving both indentation resistance and rolling fatigue life at high level while ensuring easiness to obtain materials.SOLUTION: A deep groove ball bearing 1 comprises: an outer ring 11; an inner ring 12; a plurality of balls 13; and a seal member 17, at least one of the outer ring 11, the inner ring 12, and the balls 13 being a high-strength bearing component comprising a quench-hardened steel containing 0.90 to 1.05% of carbon, 0.15 to 0.35% of silicon, 0.01 to 0.50% of manganese, and 1.30 to 1.65% of chromium as well as a balance of impurities, having a nitrogen concentration of not lower than 0.25 mass% on bearing contact surfaces 11A, 12A, and 13A, and having a residual austenite amount of not higher than 6 to 12 vol%, a seal lip portion 17A being abraded to provide a state in which the inner ring 12 does not contact the seal lip portion 17 by rotating the inner ring 12 relatively to the outer ring 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
