PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye dispersion material with an encapsulated reactive polymer colorant, and an inkjet ink comprising an ink vehicle and an encapsulated dye dispersion material.SOLUTION: A dye dispersion material is provided, which comprises: a polyurethane dispersion material that is a reaction product of (a) a urethane prepolymer that is a catalyzed reaction product of (i) a polyol, (ii) a polyisocyanate, and (iii) an internal surfactant, (b) a neutralizing agent, and (c) a chain extender; and a dye selected from a fluorescent dye, a photochromic dye and a mixture of these dyes, in which the dye is not reactive with the polyisocyanate and is an encapsulated dye dispersion material. The dispersion material has an average particle size of from about 20 nm to about 900 nm, a viscosity of from about 2 cP to about 150 cP at room temperature, and a surface tension of from about 15 dyn to about 65 dyn at room temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
