INSPECTION METHOD AND INSPECTION DEVICE FOR RESIN SHOCK ABSORBER

Provided are an inspection method and an inspection device whereby it is possible to easily determine whether or not replacement of a resin shock absorber is required at the site of elevator inspection without using a car at its rated weight capacity. Firstly, a pressure element (2) is pressed into a resin shock absorber (1) for elevators. The load applied to press the pressure element (2) into the resin shock absorber (1) is released. The physical property value indicating the rebounding force of the pressure element (2) when bouncing up from the resin shock absorber (1) due to the load being released is measured. By comparing the results of the physical property value obtained by measuring the rebounding force with a reference value prepared in advance, it is determined whether or not replacement of the resin shock absorber (1) is required.
