Provided is a blood purification device that makes it possible to stabilize the amount of air that is introduced through an open part during a spillage-prevention operation. A blood purification device that has: a dialysate introduction line (L1) that can introduce a dialysate into a dialyzer (9); a dialysate discharge line (L2) that can discharge from the dialyzer (9) dialysate that has been introduced by the dialysate introduction line (L1); connection tools (C1, C2) that can be voluntarily switched between a connected state wherein the dialysate introduction line (L1) and the dialysate discharge line (L2) are made to form a closed circuit and an open state wherein the closed circuit is opened and an open part is formed; and a control means (30) that can perform a spillage-prevention operation wherein outside air is introduced through the open part. An air detection means that can detect air that has been introduced through the open part is provided in the vicinity of the connection tools (C1, C2), and when air has been detected by the air detection means, the control means (30) stops the spillage-prevention operation. |
