PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device having a long-lasting battery, and a method for activating the same.SOLUTION: A system is built up that mounts an acceleration switch having high acceleration sensitivity in the natural oscillation frequency of a housing of an electronic device, detects only oscillations while the housing is being clapped, and activates the electronic device. Thus, the electronic device is not activated by mistake when unintended acceleration, such as oscillation generated when the electronic device is carried around, is applied, and does not consume electric power in a sleep mode, thereby maximizing a battery life.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
