PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint device and a joint method capable of producing a joint product configured so that another member is joined to one member supported in two or more portions different in the order of supporting the member in response to specifications of the joint product, with high productivity.SOLUTION: A joint device joining one or more workpieces to a steering member body 82 and forming a steering member, comprises: positioners 40a and 40b configured to be able to approach each other and separate from each other and supporting end portions E1 and E2 of the steering member body 82, respectively; a control unit 60 changing an order in which the positioners 40a and 40b support the respective end portions E1 and E2 in response to specifications of the steering member; a hand robot 10 arranging the workpieces on the steering member body 82 supported by the positioners 40a and 40b; and a weld robot 20 joining the workpieces arranged by the hand robot 10 to the steering member body 82.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
