The present invention provides a head mount display and an image display unit in which, when worn by an eyeglass user, an arm part hardly touches the eyeglass frame, and with which it is possible to suppress the shaking of an image display device. A wearing fixture 5 is substantially annular, the rear side of which is an open ring. A fitting part 59 is provided at a position 15B to the left from an end part 21 at the lateral center of the wearing fixture 5 and in front of an end part 65 at the longitudinal center of the wearing fixture 5. A coupling mechanism 8 couples the fitting part 59 and an upper end part 4A of the arm part 4 together. The coupling mechanism 8 extends leftward, and the upper end part 4A is positioned to the left of the end part 65. The arm part 4 is curved, a lower end part 4B being positioned below and to the left of the upper end part 4A. A coupling mechanism 9 connects the lower end part 4B and a base end part 31B of an image display part 3. The image display part 3 is positioned in front of the coupling mechanism 9 and is extended in the lateral direction, and a tip end part 31A provided with a half mirror 35 is positioned in front of the eyes of the user. |
