PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for reducing blind decoding for carrier aggregation.SOLUTION: In a method for processing a control channel in a user agent (UA) in order to identify at least one of uplink resource permission and downlink resource permission in a radio communication system, the resource permission is received using a control channel element (CCE) subset, each CCE subset is a control channel candidate, and the UA decodes up to M control channel candidates per period of single carrier operation. The method includes identifying, in the user agent, N control channel candidates distributed among C carriers, N being less than M*C, and decoding each of the N identified control channel candidates so as to identify at least one of the uplink resource permission and the downlink resource permission.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
