PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which can improve continuity of a signal level even when an image of less pixel number than an original image by sampling the original image in units of the plurality of adjacent pixels.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus according to the present embodiment comprises: creation means for extracting one line every n lines (n is an integer equal to or greater than 1) from input image signals and creating m (m is an integer equal to or greater than 2) systems of image signals from the image signals extracted every n lines to create n×m systems of image signals each including less number of pixels than each input image signal; and transmission means for transmitting the n×m systems of image signals created by the creation means to an external device. The creation means creates the m system of image signals by periodically extracting pixels by units of the predetermined plurality of adjacent pixels from each of the plurality of lines extracted every n lines, and differentiates a location of the pixel to extract from lines adjacent to each other in a vertical direction in the plurality of lines extracted every n lines with respect to each of image signals of m systems.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
