PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device can suppress a wax vaporized component from passing through an exhaust part with a simple configuration, without a harmful effect in a case where an inner wall member is brought close to a fixing member along an airflow path to narrow the path.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes: a first rotor; an opposing body that forms a first nip part; a second rotor that forms a second nip part; heating means for heating the first rotor; and a cover member that covers at least parts of the first and second rotors, and fixes by heat a toner image containing a wax to a recording material with the first nip part. The fixing device includes a regulation member that is provided in an airflow path through which a component heated with the first nip part and vaporized from the wax is guided to an exhaust part via an inside space of the cover member, at a position arranged opposite to at least one of the first and second rotors, to regulate the passage of the vaporized component; the regulation member can move between a first position to regulate the passage and a second position retreated from the first position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
