The present invention relates to an apparatus for producing expandable polystyrene with improved functionality. The apparatus comprises: a first hopper where an expandable polystyrene material (EPS) is input; a first transport device which transports the EPS material; a first storage tank which stores the EPS material; a high-frequency surface treatment device which treats the EPS material by high frequency; a second hopper where the EPS material is input; a SCALE hopper which basis-weights the EPS material by the predetermined weight; a second transport device which transports the EPS material; a second storage tank which stores the EPS material; a mixer; a transfer drying device which transports the EPS material; a two-step sorter which sorts out the EPS material; a third transport device which transports the EPS material; a third storage tank which stores the EPS material; and a packing device which packs the EPS material. According to the producing apparatus of the present invention, the expandable polystyrene having improved water resistance, heat insulating properties, flame resistance, and sound insulation can be produced. |
