PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case shape of a case which stores an object body (honeycomb filter) in a quadrangular prism shape such that surface pressure is constant.SOLUTION: A case is so formed that an expression (1) of a×3≥b and an expression (2) of 3≤(a+b)/2≤5 hold for an interval (a) between apexes of four corners of gaps (5) and an interval (b) between center positions of respective sides when a honeycomb filter formed in a quadrangular prism shape is stored in a cylindrically-shaped case sectioned in a quadrangular prism shape. Then when a mat 3 having a constant thickness is pressed in the case while wound around a periphery of a honeycomb filter 2, surface pressure applied between the honeycomb filter 2 and a case 1 is equal at any part of the periphery of the honeycomb filter 2. Therefore, when the case 1 is thus formed in this case shape, the case 1 can store the honeycomb filter 2 in the quadrangular prism shape such that the surface pressure is constant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
