PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module capable of achieving a reduction in thickness.SOLUTION: An optical module comprises: optical fibers 6 that define an optical axis A1 in a first direction D1; a lens module 22 that includes alignment grooves for aligning the optical fibers 6 in a second direction D2 crossing the first direction D1, a butting face 23 against which tip ends of the optical fibers 6 are abutted, and a reflection face 27 for bending the optical axis A1 in a third direction D3 crossing the first direction D1 and the second direction D2; and an adhesion part 32 for fixing the optical fibers 6 in the alignment grooves 26. The reflection face 27 has a first portion 27a, and the first portion 27a protrudes from the adhesion part 32 in the third direction D3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
