PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine which achieves downsizing and weight reduction of a stator frame by improving a cooler structure and arrangement of the rotary electric machine while maintaining the cooling performance and achieves low costs.SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine includes: a rotor core 9; a stator core 2; a stator frame 1; a rotor shaft 11; a bearing bracket 12; a bearing device 13; a cooling medium circulation passage 19; and coolers 14. The cooling medium circulation passage 19 has: air ducts 7 which are formed in the rotor core 9 and the stator core 2 and circulate the cooling medium; an outer periphery ventilation flue 19a provided along the stator frame 1; and both ends ventilation flues 19b1 and 19b2 formed between the bearing bracket 12 and a screen board 15. The coolers 14 are provided in the middle of the cooling medium circulation passage 19 and respectively installed at both ends ventilation flues 19b1, 19b2 in an oblique manner with respect to a direction perpendicular to the rotor shaft 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
