This invention relates to an amphibious vehicle, including at least one wheel assembly, wherein the at least one wheel assembly comprises at least one leg having a proximal end and a distal end, and wherein the leg is movably mounted to a hull of the amphibious vehicle at or towards the proximal end, at least one wheel which is rotatably mounted to the leg, an electric drive motor, wherein the at least one wheel is coupled to the electric motor by a drive shaft so that in-use the electric drive motor can rotate the at least one wheel, and wherein the electric drive motor is mounted within a cavity in a housing that is positioned at or towards the distal end of the at least one leg. |
