A self-propelled electronic device equipped with multiple guidance sensors that detect docking guidance signals, and a travel control unit that controls the device so as to dock at a predetermined docking position. A docking station emits a left guidance signal to a region to the left of the front surface of the docking position and a right guidance signal to a region to the right of the front surface, thereby forming a signal-free region therebetween. The multiple guidance sensors are configured from at least a front left guidance sensor and right guidance sensor. When the left guidance sensor detects a left guidance signal and the right guidance sensor detects a right guidance signal, the travel control unit causes the device to approach the docking station, changes the route of advance toward the left when the left guidance sensor no longer detects the left guidance signal, and changes the route of advance toward the right when the right guidance sensor no longer detects the right guidance signal. |
