<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively control variations of closing timing of an intake and exhaust valve, concerning a variable valve device of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: A variable valve device 1 of an internal combustion engine is capable of opening and closing an intake or exhaust valve 33 at an arbitrary timing by using a fluid pressure of a hydraulic fluid supplied to a control chamber 38. The device includes a lift amount sensor 48 for detecting an actual lift amount of the valve 33, a target lift amount setting part 51 for setting a target lift amount based on the operating condition of the internal combustion engine, a valve control unit 52 for closing the valve 33 at a target valve closing start timing being set according to the target lift amount, and a correction unit 54 for correcting the target valve closing start timing based on a difference between the actual lift amount and the target lift amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
