ZEOLITE CATALYST FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF MIXTURE OF BENZENE, TOLUENE, ETHYLBENZENE, XYLENE (BTEX)AND MIDDLE DISTILLATE FROM POLY AROMATIC HYDROCARBONS AND ITS PREPARATION METHOD

The present invention provides a beta zeolite catalyst for conversion of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons into BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene) and middle distillate, as a beta zeolite, wherein the beta zeolite is impregnated with at least one of group VIB metals and has molar ratios of SiO_2/Al_2O_3 in the range from 35 to 70. In addition, the present invention provides a method for manufacturing the zeolite catalyst comprising the following steps: manufacturing beta zeolite having molar ratios of SiO_2/Al_2O_3 in the range from 35 to 70 (step 1); and impregnating the zeolite, manufactured by the step 1, with a group VIB metal (step 2). Furthermore, the present invention provides a method for manufacturing BTEX from polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons comprising a step of producing middle distillate and BTEX by selective ring opening reaction of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, using the beta zeolite catalyst according to the present invention. Additionally, the present invention provides the BTEX converted from aromatic hydrocarbons by the manufacturing method.
