In a clamp for the temporary repair of a broken vehicle spring, comprising four walls of which one vertical wall 1a and one horizontal wall 1 are rigidly connected to one another, the two other walls 3 and 12 being displaceable towards the walls 1 and 1a by screw bolts 11, 14, the wall 3 is reversibly for reducing the crosssectional clamping area. The bolt 14 is received in an elongated slot 13 provided in the wall 12, the bolt 11 being received in an open slot 6 in the wall 3 so that the wall 12 may be swung outwardly to the right. The wall 3 carries a box-like attachment 5 which, on reversal of the wall, projects to considerable depth in the crosssection of the cavity formed by the other three walls. The internal surfaces of the four walls and external surface of the attachment 5 may have a layer of rubber vulcanised thereto. |
