The present invention relates to the field of mobile terminals and discloses a method and an apparatus for taking a screenshot of a screen of an application in a mobile terminal. The method includes: receiving an instruction for closing a screen of a designated application; capturing a designated area of the screen of the designated application to obtain a screenshot of the designated area; and saving the screenshot of the designated area, and closing the screen of the designated application. The apparatus includes: a receiving module, a screenshot module, and a saving module. In the embodiments of the present invention, before a screen Activity of an application is closed and when the window of the Activity is still visible, a screenshot of the screen of the application is taken to obtain the last real screen of the Activity. In this way, high memory usage that is caused by taking a screenshot after the screen of the application is closed is avoided, and therefore the screen capturing efficiency is improved, and memory usage and the number of invocation times is reduced. |
