Provided is a polymeric electrode binder for a lithium battery comprising Meldrum′s acid. According to the present invention, the polymeric electrode binder comprising the Meldrum′s acid as a unit polymer improves electrode performance by being thermal-decomposed in an electrode drying process and thus crosslinking/covalent-bonding a silicon surface with silanol. In addition, the electrode performance can be significantly improved by inducing a self-healing effect of an electrode through ion-dipole interaction, when comprising a unit connecting a metal ion with hydrolyzed Meldrum′s acid.
