<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor for a motor-driven power steering that reduces rare-earth magnetic components and thus has lower manufacturing cost, and to provide a motor-driven power steering device. <P>SOLUTION: A motor for a motor-driven power steering includes a rotor and a stator. The rotor has: a rotor yoke; and a plurality of plate magnets that are embedded on an outer perimeter of the rotor yoke so as to form a closed magnetic circuit in the rotor yoke and that each have a magnetic flux density of 1.2 T or more and a coercive force of 1400 kA/m or less. The stator has: a stator core that is annularly arranged on an outer side of the rotor yoke with a gap between the stator core and the rotor yoke; and excitation coils that excite the stator core and generate reluctance torque and magnet torque in the rotor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
