There are provided: a comparator (16) that employs the coordinate values or pixel values (colour value, alpha value or the like) of pixels included in a figure calculated by a rendering processing section (11) as values to be subjected to a comparison process, and determines, for each of the pixels included within the figure, whether or not the values of these pixels that are to be subjected to the comparison process are included in an allowed rendering range of respective scissor regions, defined from stored maximum values and minimum values by a maximum value/minimum value setting register (13); and a pixels-to-be-rendered distinguishing processing section (17) for identifying pixels that are to be subjected to a rendering process and distinguishing such pixels that are to be rendered from pixels included within the figure, based on the results of this determination by the comparator (16). |
