PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser marking device, a print data generation device, a print data generation method, and a computer program capable of printing a desired character or the like on the surface of a workpiece without the need to pay attention to a font data difference and the like.SOLUTION: A laser marking device comprises: a laser beam generation unit generating a laser beam; a laser beam scan unit scanning a surface of a mounted workpiece two-dimensionally by the laser beam; a laser beam control unit implementing laser printing on the basis of print data for printing a character string on the workpiece; and a print data generation unit generating the print data. The print data generation unit receives setting of information related to character strings including a predetermined character string to be printed on the workpiece, and receives selection of font data to be used for printing from among a plurality of stored font data. The print data generation unit extracts font data corresponding to the font data for which the selection is received, generates print data including the extracted font data and the predetermined character string for which the setting is received, and transmits the print data to the laser beam control unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
